Join us for a celebration of freedom of speech and human rights in Africa!

The night's profit will go to PASSOP in order to assist refugees in their struggle. Along with the task of assisting immigrants comes the need to raise funds to provide the service needed on an ongoing basis. Amidst the global economic recession such funding has become hard to come by, thus in addition to applying for donor funds and donations, PASSOP will need to do certain fundraising initiatives.

We'll be having a Night for Rights in Cape Town- The"OPEN-MIC-NIGHT" will be held in Cocoa Wah Wah coffee shop, on Main Road in Rondebosch. The event will be on Sunday the 25th October, from 7pm till 12pm. There will drink specials and snacks available.

Miss Texas 1977 will be performing, there will be poems, more music and the chance for people to express themselves.

We are also proud to announce that we have the unique opportunity to auction off a pair of Springboks Seven National Player Mpho Mbiyozo's SHORTS!

ZIMFEST 2009
After a successful launch in 2008, Zimfest South Africa promises to be bigger and better, and that is a promise we will meet. In only its second year in existence, this event has managed to tap into the global spirit of Zimfest. It is a sense of national pride. It is a means of coming together. It is a way to create change. It is time to share the message.

Admission will be R30. Contact Nicolette on 0823809668 for details.

Zimfest has become a international affair with the UK and Australia both hosting successful events in September 2009, making the festival so much more exciting. This year ZIMFEST South Africa promises to be a weekend like no other. With a stunning new venue and a host of surprises, this is one that you do not want to miss. The festival will be held at De Huevel Estate, Tulbagh - one of the most beautiful settings in the world. The final line up will be announced shortly. These are really exciting times, and we are working closely with the Zimfest teams around the world to deliver a world class festival. Instead of dwelling on the unfortunate situation that has prevailed in Zimbabwe in the past few years, we aim to celebrate the changes made and put our foot down and tell the world "Enough is enough". As Zimbabweans and friends of Zimbabwe we have a responsibility to celebrate all that is good about Zim. We strive to show the world that there is another way and that Zimbabweans are not as divided as they may seem...
